Mission Basilica School is one of the leading Catholic schools in Orange County which has a mission to nurture spiritual growth, advance academic excellence, expand creative potential, build a diverse and inclusive community and prepare our students to become the next leaders dedicated to ethical conduct and compassionate service. 

For over 90 years, Mission Basilica School has proven to be one of the Catholic schools in Orange County that has devoted support from its remarkable teachers as well as parents. At Mission Basilica School we take great pride in being a commendable school within the community. 

Since many of you have supported us at last year’s serenade gala, Mission Basilica School was able to raise almost $80,000. With your generous donations, we were able to update many of our educational programs such as a new social studies curriculum, reading engagement workshop, phonics curriculum, enhance our library with traditional as well as digital text. 

Also, we are now one of the Catholic schools in Orange County to offer a Behavioral Intervention Program (PBIS), which is a new behavioral program, and our other new academic program Writing Without Tears.  

In addition to these wonderful programs we are currently able to provide for our students, your kindness has given Mission Basilica School the resources it needed to make a huge impact on the education of children who attend our school and enhance the school’s exceptional culture, tradition, and faith-filled environment. 

Our students are able to nurture their spiritual growth, gain advanced academic excellence, broaden their creative potential, build a diverse and inclusive community, and prepare them to become dedicated leaders with an upstanding manner and charitable service.  

At Mission Basilica School we believe that the values that we stand behind are not only for our children to master but as members of the Mission Basilica School family we take great responsibility to lead our children into these principles by living these examples in our own lives. Therefore, leading by example is a doctrine at our school. 

The success that Mission Basilica School has achieved over the years, and for the many more years to come, starts with you! It has preserved in many ways, but mainly through our liturgical events which focus on the body and blood of Christ. You also see our accomplishments in our classrooms, on the sports field, our art projects, outreach events, our outstanding traditions, and the many other things you can find on our campus. 

When we recite Joshua 22:5, we are reminded to “Love Him and serve Him with your whole heart and soul”. So, let us lead by example and show our children the way by serving Him by making this year’s Mission Basilica’s Serenade Gala a massive success! Even if you have very little time to spare for this event, we will be grateful for any opportunity you have to volunteer.

Get out your pens and mark your calendars for Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at 5:30 pm at the Fashion Island Hotel in Newport Beach for a night of dinner, music, and auctions. This fun and exciting night is a special fundraiser and annual tradition that supports Mission Basilica School and is the means of our success!
